I have great respect for SebastiAn. His music is just how he wants it to be and he doesn’t care when people think it’s too hard or think “that isn’t music”. But he knows how to take real noise and fit it into a beat and make a great song out of it.

And he managed to do that with “Idea Of Happiness” too. Even though he toughened it up, he managed to keep the disco-vibe of the original.

Brodinski and Rustie were “chosen” to be on the “LOSE YOURSELF” EP, coming out on the 2nd of April on the label Marbles of course. The other artist are rumored to be on a remix LP which will be called “USA Remixes”.

Sound Of Stereo really blew me away with their remix of “Gold” by Willow!

I was sceptic about a new remix of Sound Of Stereo, and especially because it was a remix for “Gold” by Willow, I just love that song.
But man, they did an awesome job!

In my eyes, this will become the new “I Follow Rivers” but packed with a punch.

It’s already available on iTunes (link below) and it will drop on the other sites on March 26th.

After their 2 previous collabs “Waves/Death Suite” from in 2009 and “Lemonade/Avalanche” from 2011 there is a new one in the pipeline!
“Roland Rat/Brain Storm” will be released on Alex’ Boys Noize Records and will drop on the 2nd of April.

My favorite is definitely “Roland Rat”, that bassline just blows you away! In my opinion, this one really shows the full power of the 2 powers combined.

Yesterday, 10 years ago, the legendary mix-album “As Heard On Radio Soulwax Pt. 2″ came out.
Below is an interview that Sam De Bruyn did for Studio Brussel (Dutch spoken).

As Heard On Radio Soulwax Pt. 2 started out as a DJ Show on Studio Brussel called “Hank The DJ”. Alongside 2manydj’s were Buscemi and Praga Khan. But Studio Brussel decided to “drop” Praga Khan and Buscemi for the second series which gave 2manydj’s “full clearance” for the second series.
Later on they decided to change the name to “Hang The DJ”. And if you search for them on the internet you’ll find them all for sure!

As Heard On Radio SoulwaxPt. 2 is actually the first and only OFFICIAL album by 2manydj’s. There are a lot of other As Heard On Radio Soulwax-album but they’re bootlegs.

Some other interesting facts:

• There are 114 unique tracks on this album!
• Their electric remix for “Can’t Get You Outta My Head” by Kylie Minogue is a hidden track, just rewind on the first track and there it is!
• It’s been sold 1 million times!
• Track 24 (Shake Your Body) isn’t cleared to be on the album because the artist is unfindable!
• They got sued their asses off by a lot of people but PIAS and 2manydj’s won them all
• The original cover is actually Elton John but they didn’t had clearance to use the photo so they decided to tippex the entire photo.

Also, this album changed my life too. I remember hearing this for the first time.
This was the moment my taste in music got blown way open. It also was the first time I knew I wanted to DJ myself.
So, thank you Stephen and David.

No doubt I’m curious about what the mystery hour is. Hope it’s a set with new tracks by Soulwax or new tracks by some of their friends.

Teenage Bad Girl is back!

Ooh man this track rocks my socks off! Yeah I said it!
It reminds me of their early days with “Hands Of A Stranger” and the Boys Noize remix of “Cocotte”.
But then again it’s a completely new sound but still with that Teenage Bad Girl vibe in it.

Too bad this isn’t on the original EP. Buuuuut this WILL be out as a free download soon.
